Girls basketball: Kalama 49, La Center 34

Foul trouble hurt the visiting Wildcats in their first Trico League loss of the season.

The Chinooks led by six points at halftime and then used a 15-4 third-quarter to secure the win.

Andrea Griffee hit four 3-pointers and scored 19 for La Center (2-1). Katie Whitten had seven assists and four steals for the Wildcats.

Kalama posts Parker Esary (17 points) and Kaelyn Shipley (16) had a big game.
