Koon has 18, Princeton rolls past Dartmouth 73-55

HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Denton Koon scored 18 points and hot-shooting Princeton dominated inside for a 73-55 Ivy League win over Dartmouth on Friday night.

The Tigers (12-8, 5-1), coming off a 69-65 loss to Yale that snapped their six-game winning streak, broke a 19-19 tie with a 15-3 spurt. Princeton led 42-28 at halftime after shooting 60 percent from the field (15 of 25), 5 of 7 from long range and 7 of 7 from the line.

The Big Green (6-15, 2-5) could get no closer than 13 in the second half.

Princeton utilized its size advantage to outscore Dartmouth 36-24 in the paint and outrebound the Big Green 35-21.

Ian Hummer added 14 points, Hans Brase 12 and Will Barrett 11 for the Tigers, who shot 56.3 percent (27 of 48) for the game.

Gabas Maldunas scored 14 points with eight rebounds to lead Dartmouth, which has lost seven straight to Princeton.
