The tale of Dave’s Killer Bread, a Portland whole-foods success story, will be told during the annual banquet hosted by Meals on Wheels People.

The nonprofit agency used to be known as “Loaves and Fishes, the Meals on Wheels People,” but has recently been rebranded with the shorter name.

Meals on Wheels People will hold its fifth annual Clark County Spring Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 11 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington, 301 W. Sixth St.

Shobi Dahl of Dave’s Killer Bread will share the story of his company’s success and its involvement with Meals on Wheels. Kelly Parker, CEO of the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, will emcee.

Tickets are not required, but reservations are recommended; a fundraising appeal will be made during the luncheon. For reservations, contact Tearesa at Tearesa.hasselman@mealsonwheelspeople.org or phone 503-953-8132.
