Police are continuing their investigation into an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon at a bank in Vancouver’s Arnada neighborhood.

A man walked into Cascade Federal Credit Union, 1706 D St. just before 1 p.m., pulled a gun from his waistband and demanded cash, according to Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running east on East 17th Street.

Officers responded and searched the area but could not locate the suspect, who was described as a white or Hispanic man, about 5 foot 10, who was wearing a black sweatshirt or jacket, a black and green baseball cap and a paisley bandana over his face, Kapp said.

The case will be investigated by the agency’s robbery detective in the major crimes unit, Kapp said. Surveillance footage was not available for release. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the agency’s tip line at 360-487-7399.
