NAACP thanks community for collaboration

Hough — The NAACP Vancouver held its annual community meeting Dec. 21 at the Vancouver Housing Authority building on Main Street. It was a “good time of talk and fellowship” that was meant largely as a hello and thank-you to the group’s friends and community partners, said president the Rev. Marva Edwards. Various city and county dignitaries were there, Edwards said, along with graduates of the NAACP’s annual summer Rites of Passage youth program. There were “at least 50” people in attendance, Edwards said.
