Girls basketball: Hockinson 52, Ridgefield 39

Without leading scorer Katelyn McGuire, the rest of the Hockinson girls stepped up for a road win in the 2A GSHL.

Sydney Cole led the charge with 14 points and the entire Hockinson team contributed in their pressing defense totaling 28 steals.

After a first half where they struggled shooting, Hockinson shot 55 percent in the second half and took much better care of the basketball.

Shannon Boyle scored 15 points to lead Ridgefield in the loss.
