Letter: Herrera Beutler fails in promises

Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, has been a failure. She was elected on a promise to “repeal and replace” Obamacare (Affordable Care Law). She and the Republicans in Congress have voted 50 times to “repeal” this law that has helped millions of Americans, including saving money and providing health care and peace of mind to my family. Herrera Beutler has the farce “repeal” side of her reason for being in office down pat. What about the “replace” side?

Almost three years have passed since an open, well-advertised and well-attended town hall-style meeting with our representative in Congress. If you happen to attend one of her private, “secret” coffee events, you will find Herrera Beutler has her taking points down well. She will mention buying insurance across state lines or tort reform. Where is her legislation? (I hate to mention this, Jaime, but you are a member of Congress who can actually write legislation.) The Congresswoman does not deserve re-election, as she has proposed no solutions.
