A public meeting to discuss the Gifford Pinchot National Forest road system will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the forest headquarters, 10600 N.E. 51st Circle.
Video teleconference participation in the session also is possible at the Mount Adams Ranger District office in Trout Lake, Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument office in Chelatchie and Cowlitz Valley Ranger District office in Randle.
Tracy Calizon, community engagement staff officer, said the Forest Service wants to share information gathered at six community meetings and also through a questionnaire.
Meeting participants will be asked to identify a sustainable road network, realizing road budgets are declining and that roads have ecological costs.
