Girls basketball: Columbia River 37, Hockinson 24

Kate Kraft had 10 steals and nine rebounds, and the host Chieftains led 18-4 at halftime of the non-league game.

“What we did is rebound well,” Columbia River coach Carl Click said.

Emma Fisk had nine points and 12 rebounds for the Chieftains (1-1).

Keely Nordberg led Hockinson (0-3) with 12 points.
