Body found along Blandford Drive in Vancouver

Police are investigating the death as suspicious

Police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found late Saturday night on North Blandford Drive in central Vancouver.

Officers from the Vancouver Police Department were dispatched at 11:47 p.m. to the 600 block of North Blandford Drive, near the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard, for a report of a body in the road, according to a news release from the police department. A male’s body was found at the scene, the news release said.

Police shut down North Blandford Drive for several hours overnight to investigate the incident, Vancouver police Sgt. Rod Trumpf said.

The police department’s major crimes and traffic units are investigating the death as suspicious, the news release said.

The body was sent to the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause and manner of the male’s death and to identify him, the news release said.
