Washington State Patrol troopers are seeking tips after a sport-utility vehicle was involved in a serious-injury crash in Vancouver and fled the scene Wednesday.

The two-vehicle collision was reported at about 1:15 p.m. near the interchange between state Highway 500 and Interstate 205, Trooper Will Finn said. He said a white Chevrolet Trailblazer hit a silver Toyota pickup. The only occupant in the pickup, a male driver from Vancouver, was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center after suffering serious injuries in the crash to his face and head, Finn said.

The collision is under investigation. Finn said the white Trailblazer was a model built between 2005 and 2008, and that it has significant damage to either the passenger’s side or the driver’s side. Witnesses to the collision, or anyone with information about the incident, are asked to call State Patrol at 360-449-7999 and press 7.
