A man robbed a Chase bank Tuesday afternoon inside Fred Meyer in east Vancouver.

The robbery was reported at 12:41 p.m. at 16600 S.E. McGillivray Blvd. The robber implied he had a gun, but none was seen, according to Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp. He then fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Vancouver police searched for the robber, who was described as a thin white man, 40 to 50 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, and wearing a gray sweatshirt. They weren’t able to find him.
