A series of paving projects will cause lane closures and delays on three major thoroughfares in Vancouver during the coming week, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Crews will close two lanes of westbound state Highway 14 at Southeast 192nd Avenue from 10 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday. The westbound offramp to Southeast 164th Avenue will also close during that time. The following night, two lanes of westbound Highway 14 will close at Interstate 205 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Paving will reduce both directions of Mill Plain Boulevard to a single lane at West Fourth Plain Boulevard from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, according to WSDOT, and again from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday.

A single lane of westbound state Highway 500 will close between Fourth Plain Boulevard and Northeast 112th Avenue from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday. The westbound offramp from Highway 500 to 112th Avenue/Gher Road will also close during work hours.

In each case, workers plan to grind and repave damaged pavement to prevent further deterioration, according to WSDOT.
