Man allegedly stabs acquaintance in Vancouver

Victim sustained injuries that weren't life threatening

A man was arrested Sunday morning after he allegedly stabbed an acquaintance and fled the scene on a bicycle, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

The incident was reported at about 7:40 a.m. in the 900 block of Winchell Avenue in Vancouver’s Hudson’s Bay neighborhood. The man who was stabbed sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, Vancouver police Officer Ilia Botvinnik said.

The suspect was captured near the intersection of Winchell Avenue and Mill Plain Boulevard, according to emergency radio traffic.

Botvinnik identified the suspect as 44-year-old Robert Graves. Graves, who was booked into the Clark County Jail, faces a felony assault charge, Botvinnik said.

The stabbing victim was treated for cuts on his hands, according to emergency radio traffic.
