Fisher’s Landing East — Before Ellie Olson and Hunter Higgins could attend River HomeLink’s prom on May 16, they had a date with a few Stormtroopers.

There were no battles or shoot-outs, though. Instead, Olson and Higgins met up with some Stormtroopers at Big Al’s Bowling for a fundraiser for Furry Friends, a nonprofit, no-kill cat adoption organization based in Vancouver.

Guests at the fundraiser could bowl and have professional photos taken with Stormtroopers.

The event raised $379, all of which will go to Furry Friends and the organization’s purchase of a new halfway home for cats.
