Week 9 prep football player of the week: Cameron Loos of Hockinson

Cameron Loos of Hockinson was voted The Columbian’s high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 31.

Loos collected 52 percent of the 3,240 votes cast by fans to beat out Preston Jones of Mountain View, who had 33 percent.

Loos caught three passes for 194 yard and 2 TDs in a win over R.A. Long.

The other nominees were Jared Bentley of Camas, Alex McGarry of Columbia River and Wyatt Harsh of Woodland.

Nominees and the online ballot are posted at www.360preps.com each Saturday and voting continues until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Players may be elected player of the week once per month, and no player can be nominated for the honor in consecutive weeks.
