Police: missing boy, 12, found safe

UPDATE: The police said this around 3:30 p.m. a 12-year-old Vancouver boy missing since this morning has been found and is safe.

The Vancouver Police Department was asking for the public’s help to find Justin Chan, a student at a Vancouver middle school described as a runaway.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 12-year-old boy who has not been seen or heard from since this morning, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

The missing boy, Justin Chan, attends a Vancouver middle school and lives near Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard and 57th Avenue, police said. The boy was last seen wearing a “long-sleeved red shirt, tan pants, black shoes and a black backpack,” according to police.

A press release from Vancouver police described him as a runaway.

Anyone who knows of the boy’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
