Officers with the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Narcotics Task Force, along with local law enforcement officers, arrested three men in Clark County on Thursday on suspicion of multiple heroin and methamphetamine possession charges.

The task force — with assistance from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Battle Ground and Woodland police departments — arrested Jorge Cruz Pegueros, 43, Gustavo Allen, 20 and Porfirio Sanchez Reyes, 51.

While serving two warrants in Clark County, officers recovered 1.3 pounds of methamphetamine, two rifles and two stolen jet skis, according to the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office.

The men appeared to have been using one of the residences that was searched to process the drug, the sheriff’s office said.

Pegueros was arrested on suspicion of two counts of delivering a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of heroin and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Allen and Sanchez Reyes were arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of heroin. Allen also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is continuing, and other charges are pending.
