Week 12 winter sports prep athlete of the week nominees

Here are the nominees for The Columbian winter sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Feb. 27.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

CAMERON CRANSTON, UNION BOYS BASKETBALL: Cranston scored 25 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer, as the Titans beat Bellarmine Prep in the 4A regionals.

ASHLEE COMASTRO, SKYVIEW GIRLS BASKETBALL: Comastro scored 16 points and led the Storm’s press break in a win over Bellarmine Prep in the 4A regionals

CHERITA DAUGHERTY, PRAIRIE GIRLS BASKETBALL: Daugherty had 15 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as Prairie beat Mercer Island in the 3A regionals.

TANNER SIXBERRY, WOODLAND BOYS BASKETBALL: Sixberry scored 25 points, including 18 in the first half, as the Beavers beat North Kitsap in the 2A regionals.

KIENAN WALTER, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN BOYS BASKETBALL: Walter had 23 points and 10 rebounds as the Knights beat Cascade Christian in the 1A regionals.
