Vancouver police reopen East Precinct walk-in service

The Vancouver Police Department has reopened its East Precinct to walk-in service.

The office, 520 S.E. 155th Ave., has not had its front counter open to the public since 2010, when staffing reductions forced the agency to end the service.

The East Precinct as well as the West Precinct, 2800 N.E. Stapleton Rd., have staff available to take police reports for crimes with no suspect information during regular office hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Reports can also be made during the same business hours by calling 360-487-7500 or 360-487-7355.

Residents interested in getting rid of unwanted medication can do so at both precincts, though this service does not include forfeiture of liquids, creams or patches.
