The board of directors at Evergreen Public Schools recently approved the hiring, promotion and administrative job changes for the 2016-17 school year. In most cases, these changes are effective July 1.
Elementary schools
• Ellsworth Elementary: David Schaefer will become principal. He currently is a principal in Ridgefield School District.
• Fisher’s Landing and Harmony Elementary schools: John Yelverton will become associate principal at both schools. He currently is a teacher and administrative intern at Endeavour Elementary.
• Illahee and Marrion elementary schools: Scott Eppinger will become associate principal at both schools. He currently is an elementary instructional coach and administrative intern at Endeavour Elementary.
• Mill Plain Elementary: Jennifer Dowell will become principal. She currently is associate principal at Harmony and Sifton elementary schools.
Middle schools
• Covington Middle School: Jamie Johnston will become associate principal. Johnston currently is dean of students and administrative intern at Union High School.
• Frontier Middle School: Griffin Peyton will become principal. Griffin currently is associate principal at Frontier Middle School. Ebony Kee-McKenzie will become associate principal at Frontier. She currently is a counselor and administrative intern at Shahala Middle School.
• Pacific Middle School: Heather Thiessen will become principal. She currently is principal at Covington Middle School.
High schools
• Legacy High School: Heather Fowler will become principal. She also will be principal at iQ Academy. She currently is program coordinator and principal at iQ Academy. David Shoup will become associate principal. He currently is a teacher and administrative intern at Union High School.
District office
• Jenae Gomes will become executive director of human resources. She currently holds that position in Kelso School District.
• Tracy Thompson will become director of personnel. Currently she is principal at Pacific Middle School.
