Annual street paving planned

Vancouver – The city of Vancouver is kicking off its pavement management program, which includes both resurfacing and pavement preservation projects. The program funnels $6.6 million into the city’s streets and is funded using local taxes, such as property, sales and real estate excise tax.

To view the complete list of streets being targeted in 2016, visit www.cityofvancouver.us pavement and click on the tab for preventive surface treatments.

The following streets will be repaved this summer, starting in July:

• East Mill Plain Boulevard, North Garrison Road to Southeast 103rd Avenue.

• Northeast 155th Avenue, 12th Way to 18th Street.

• East 39th Street, east of the Interstate 5 overpass to Northeast 15th Avenue.

• Northeast 15th Avenue, East 39th Street to just north of Northeast 41st Circle.

• Northwest 26th Avenue (within Port of Vancouver area), End section to Fourth Plain Boulevard.

• Southeast Evergreen Highway, approximately Southeast Image Road to Southeast 98th Avenue.

Impacted neighborhoods include: Burnt Bridge Creek, Landover-Sharmel, North Hearthwood, Fircrest, Lewis and Clark Woods, Bella Vista, Cascade Southeast, Fairway-164th Ave., Cascade Highlands, Bennington, Fisher’s Landing East, Village at Fisher’s Landing, Fisher’s Creek and Columbia River (formerly the East Old Evergreen Hwy neighborhood).
