Landover-Sharmel — Every spring, students and families from Good Shepard Montessori put on a plant sale to help fund their annual scholarship program, which assists families who otherwise could not afford their early childhood program. The nonprofit school is a ministry of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. This year, assisted living facility Sylvan Park Elite Care purchased plants from the sale for their residents. “We are grateful to Sylvan Park for helping our scholarship fund and equally delighted to be invited to visit Sylvan Place for a planting party,” said Pamela Cripe, director at Good Shepherd Montessori School. “This experience was an intergenerational opportunity to bring our youngest and oldest citizens together to work, play games and eat a meal together.”
