C-Tran advisory group seeking new members

Vancouver – The C-Tran Citizens Advisory Committee is seeking applicants to fill roles starting in January.

The committee is a liaison between residents and the transit agency’s board. Its members represent a range of perspectives and experiences.

For 2017, these positions need to be filled: bistate commuter, nonambulatory rider, environmental community representative and at-large member.

New members serve a two-year term from January until December 2018. The committee meets once a month for two hours in the evening. Members get a free bus pass for as long as they’re on the committee.

The committee will conduct interviews during it’s Oct. 27 meeting. Applications are at www.c-tran.com/about-c-tran/citizens-advisory-committee. The application deadline is Oct. 15.
