A vehicle fire on southbound Interstate 5 is slowing traffic into Portland.
The fire is at Milepost 0.4 of the freeway, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. Emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian indicates the vehicle is right before the Interstate 5 Bridge.
An alert sent out by the transportation department says the incident is blocking the ramp from state Highway 14 and the right lane of the freeway.
Traffic maps show vehicles backing up to at least Fourth Plain Boulevard.
