NEW YORK (AP) — Driven by Solar set the pace to beat 3-5 favorite Black Pen by 134 lengths in Wednesday’s $47,000 allowance feature at Aqueduct.
The Todd Pletcher-trained Driven by Solar continued to thrive on Aqueduct’s winterized surface. The 4-year-old is 4-1-2 in eight races on the inner track. He was distant seventh in his lone effort on the Big A’s main strip.
Fernando Jara was aboard as Driven by Solar paid $14.20, $4.60 and $3. Black Pen returned $2.80 and $2.20. New Yawker earned $4.90 to show.
