SHELTON, Wash. (AP) — The Washington State Patrol says a 4-year-old girl was killed in a crash on Highway 101 Wednesday evening south of Shelton.

Troopers say she was in a car that ran off the highway to avoid a collision with another car making a lane change.

The 28-year-old Shelton woman driving the car was airlifted to Tacoma General Hospital.
