Prep football Week 9: Hudson’s Bay vs. Fort Vancouver

The Columbian
Published: October 29, 2010, 12:00am

When, where: 7 p.m. Friday at Kiggins Bowl

Records: Fort Vancouver (2-6, 0-5); Hudson’s Bay (1-7, 0-5); 3A GSHL game

Game notes: Both teams are looking for their first league win of the season. But more importantly, they are looking for bragging rights in this rivalry game. … Fort opened the season 2-1 (almost 3-0), but things have gone awry since. … The Trappers have lost five in a row, but battled Kelso and Columbia River. … Bay’s lone came Sept. 24 against Battle Ground (35-14). … The Eagles have won the last two meetings with the Trappers.

The Columbian’s take: The Eagles have improved after opening the season with struggles on offense. The Trappers have just a few more weapons. But ultimately, turnovers could determine the outcome. PICK: Fort Vancouver
