Landover-Sharmel — Clark County Special Olympics held a car-wash fundraiser to buy jerseys for the two new softball teams added this year. Athletes, coaches and families washed cars for nine hours July 17 at the Chevron on 28th Street and 136th Avenue. Despite the rain, the volunteers were able to raise more than $500 during the day.
