Clark baseball drops two

The Clark College baseball team dropped a pair of games on Sunday at Walla Walla, losing 4-3 to Blue Mountain and 11-8 to host Walla Walla.

The Penguins (3-9) got 4⅔ -shutout innings from Connor Dunham and two shutout innings from Ryan Ecalbarger against Blue Mountain but couldn’t overcome the deficit.

Nick Woods and Zach Girod each had two hits in the loss.

Clark pounded out 14 hits in the loss to Walla Walla. Evan Pickett and Joel Johnson each had three hits, and Woods had two doubles.

Clark is scheduled to play in the Clackamas Tournament at Oregon City beginning Tuesday.
