On Monday evening, contractors will begin repaving onramps and offramps at seven interchanges on Interstate 5 and Interstate 205 in Clark County.

Work will get under way Monday, assuming the weather cooperates, and continue for the next three months. Drivers can expect overnight ramp closures between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday.

The Washington Department of Transportation awarded the $2.19 million project to Wildish Standard Paving Co., based in Eugene, Ore.

Workers will pave and crack-seal interchanges at 179th Street and 319th Street on I-5, along with five interchanges on I-205: Highway 14, Mill Plain Boulevard, Highway 500, 83rd Street/Padden Parkway and 134th Street. Contractors also will install 3,000 linear feet of new guardrail.

Meanwhile, DOT spokeswoman Heidi Sauce said the agency plans to spend $4.4 million beginning in July to resurface 2.35 miles of I-5 between the Columbia River and the overpass at 39th Street. That project will be completed this summer.
