Humble and Hungry wins Churchill feature

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Humble and Hungry took the lead in midstretch and raced to a 1 14-length victory Thursday in the Grade III $111,200 Commonwealth Turf for 3-year-olds at Churchill Downs.

The winner, ridden by Jose Lezcano, ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:45.24 and paid $24.60, $7.20 and $3. Wilkinson returned $4.40 and $2.80, while Silver Medallion was another half-length back in third and paid $2.80.

Humble and Hungry, owned by Sagamore Farm, earned $67,567 to increase his career total to $168,727 for his second win in 10 races.
