Train kills hunter near Patterson

KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — The Benton County sheriff’s office says a train struck and killed a hunter near Paterson.

A deputy told KNDU (http://is.gd/EGYyej ) the hunter was chasing his dog on the tracks about 6:30 a.m. Friday when he was hit.

The hunter was a 47-year-old man from Oregon. His name and hometown have not yet been released.
