Quebrada Shiner wins Belmont’s Jazzy Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) — Quebrada Shiner, the 5-2 favorite, beat Vanishing Grey by 112 lengths on Wednesday in the $60,000 Jazzy Stakes for fillies and mares on the turf at Belmont Park.

Ramon Dominguez was aboard for trainer Bob Barbara as the 6-year-old ran the six furlongs in 1:08.44 on the firm course.

Quebrada Shiner won for the eighth time in 18 starts, paying $7.60, $4.10 and $2.90. Vanishing Grey returned $7.80 and $4.30 while Legally Blanca paid $2.80 to show.
