The chairman of the U.S. Small Business Committee will visit Vancouver next week to host two roundtable discussions with small business owners.

The chairman, U.S. Rep. Sam Graves, a Republican from Missouri, will meet with people from roughly 50 Southwest Washington small businesses from 3 to 4 p.m. April 10. The roundtable will be at the Red Cross Community Room, E.B. Hamilton Hall, 605 Barnes St., at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.

The second event is a tour of about a dozen small businesses in Woodland, followed by a roundtable discussion with the owners of those businesses. The tour begins 9 a.m. April 11 at American Paper Converting, 1845 Howard Way in Woodland. The roundtable begins at 10:30 a.m.

U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, also will attend both roundtable meetings. She is a member of the House’s Small Business Committee.

“While this region lacks enough good-paying jobs, we’re not lacking for bright entrepreneurs and dedicated small business owners who would love to grow their operations and hire,” Herrera Beutler said in a Thursday, April 5, statement.

Attendance at the events are limited to those invited.
