SEATTLE (AP) — Two men died on Interstate 5 in the Seattle area over the weekend.
A 40-year-old Everett man who wandered into both northbound and southbound lanes of I-5 Saturday night before being struck and killed. The Washington State Patrol says he has been identified as Shane A. Archey.
The Daily Herald reports the accident closed the two right southbound lanes of I-5 Saturday night near the Boeing freeway, delaying traffic for several hours.
Another man is dead after jumping onto Interstate 5 from an overpass in downtown Seattle.
The Washington State Patrol says the man dropped onto the northbound lanes of the freeway near the Convention Center at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
KOMO reports traffic was narrowed down to one lane through the area, creating a backup that extended through the downtown area.
