UC Santa Barbara defeats San Diego Christian 87-60

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) — Alan Williams had 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead UC Santa Barbara over San Diego Christian 87-60 on Saturday night.

Williams was 8 of 13 from the floor in reaching his double-double. Reserve guard Kyle Boswell came off the bench and added 17 points and a career-high seven assists, with no turnovers. Taran Brown had 14 points for the Gauchos (4-5).

UC Santa Barbara took the lead at the 17:07 mark in the first half and stayed in front the rest of the game, leading 46-24 at halftime. The Gauchos made 20 of 60 from the field for the game, while the Hawks made 19 of 51. The Gauchos also led in rebounding 44-25.

Raphael Rodriguez was 4 of 8 from 3-point range, finishing the night with 14 points for San Diego Christian (0-7). Kevin Dawson had 12 and Kwaminique Brandon 11. Peter Beale-Wirsing led with five rebounds.
