NEW YORK (AP) — Expression nipped Lion Alexandra by a neck on Friday in the $51,000 feature for 3-year-old fillies at Aqueduct.
Rallying from last in the six-horse field, Expression got her second win in four starts with Cornelio Velasquez aboard for trainer Charlton Baker. The time was 1:11.92 for the six furlongs on the fast track.
Expression paid $9, $5 and $3.90. Lion Alexandra returned $10.20 and $8.80, while Blushing Martha paid $9.30 to show.
