Teen Huston wins $150K skateboarding contest

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Nyjah Huston won the opening contest of the Street League Skateboarding tour and top prize of $150,000.

It was the fifth victory in three seasons of Street League for the 17-year-old Huston.

In the last section of the finals, Street League rookie Bastien Salabanzi battled Huston trick for trick, with Chaz Ortiz and Paul Rodriguez close behind.

Huston landed a Kick Flip Backside Nose Blunt Slide to clinch the top spot.

Salabanzi was second, followed by Ortiz.
