Hazel Dell — Larry Wakeman, who struggles with multiple sclerosis, has spent the past several months creating a 5-foot-by-5-foot battle scene diorama of the North African campaign of World War II. It’s his way of honoring all veterans. The display is open for public viewing at Prestige Assisted Living of Hazel Dell, 7514 N.E. 13th Ave. View Larry’s diorama online in the Columbian’s Neighbors section, on the Columbian’s Facebook page and on the Neighbors blog at http://www.columbian.com/weblogs/your-neck-of-the-woods.
