Paco Lopez rides 2 stakes winners at Monmouth

OCEANPORT, N.J (AP) — Jockey Paco Lopez captured two stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday, scoring with Tune Me In in the $100,000 Cliff Hanger Stakes and Say a Novena in the $60,000 Miss Woodford Stakes.

Tune Me In help off Salto by a length in the Cliff Hanger on the turn. The Bruce Alexander-trained gelding covered the mile in 1:34 and paid $15.40, $5.20 and $2.20 in winning his second straight stakes at Monmouth Park.

Salto returned $3.40 and $2.20, while Get Serious finished another head back and paid $2.40 to show.

In the Miss Woodford, the Eddie Plesa Jr. trained Say a Novena ran six furlongs in 1:10.04 and paid $22.80, $8.40 and $4.20 in winning for the first time this year.

Singlet, who was a half-length back in second, returned $3.60 and $2.60. Klondike Kate, the favorite in the field of seven 3-year-old fillies, paid $2.80 to show.
