Letter: Bring back Pearson Air Museum

The Columbian
Published: April 15, 2013, 5:00pm

In his praise of the National Park Service’s hijacking of Pearson Air Museum (“Park Service is best for Pearson,” April 5), one thing letter-writer David King fails to mention is that under the management of Fort Vancouver National Trust, the museum was in many ways self-supporting. Who pays now? We deep-pocket taxpayers, of course.

No wonder the NPS can offer free admission.

And it is no longer an air museum. Give it back to the community that took pride in sustaining it.
