VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Rookie Jordan Schroeder scored his first two NHL goals and Cory Schneider stopped 33 shots and the Vancouver Canucks rallied to defeat the Calgary Flames 5-1 Saturday night for their fifth consecutive victory.

Schroeder and Alex Burrows scored just 27 seconds apart in the second period to give Vancouver a 2-1 lead. Schroeder scored his second goal late in the third period off a Mason Raymond rebound.

Vancouver captain Henrik Sedin added two assists to give him 755 career points. That leaves him one point behind former captain Markus Naslund’s franchise-leading total of 756.

Schroeder scored on the power play for his first NHL goal.

Chris Higgins and Kevin Bieksa also scored for the Canucks (7-2-2).

Lee Stempniak scored for the Flames (3-4-2), who wrapped a three-game road trip 2-1 with the loss.
