Oral Roberts rallies to defeat Bowling Green 63-56

CANCUN, Mexico (AP) — Shawn Glover scored 27 points, including four free throws in the final 15 seconds, and Oral Roberts did what Bowling Green couldn’t, hitting shots down the stretch to rally for a 63-56 win in the Cancun Challenge Wednesday afternoon.

Bowling Green (2-4) was up 49-41 with 12 minutes left before Korey Billbury, who finished with 17 points, scored the last seven of his nine straight points, and Glover made two free throws to cap the 9-1 run that tied the game at 50.

Oral Roberts (4-3) surged ahead as D.J. Jackson made a short jumper and a 3-pointer. Adrion Webber put the Golden Eagles up 59-53 before Anthony Henderson made a 3 to cut it back to three with 17 seconds left.

Glover hit 9 of 10 free throws to lead Oral Roberts to a 13-of-15 day.

Spencer parker and Anthony Henderson had 12 each for Bowling Green.
