Esther Short — The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra drew a healthy crowd of classical music lovers to the Kiggins Theatre on Nov. 17 for its latest Sunday afternoon chamber music concert. The autumnal theme was “A Bountiful Harvest,” and the concert featured works by Mendelssohn, Chopin and Saint-Saens; Michael Liu, Bruce Dunn, Scott Winks, Barbara Heilmair and Corrie Cook were among the VSO members who played, joined by special guests Nancy Ives, the principal cellist with the Oregon Symphony, and Cary Lewis on piano.
