Washougal — Cape Horn-Skye Elementary School students helped raise money by doing what kids do best: playing. During the three-day Sport-a-Thon in late September, students set goals for a series of physical activities — from shooting basketballs to throwing Frisbees — and asked family and friends to sponsor them with pledges of money. The CH-S Boosters event raised $6,347, which will be used to buy a new portable sound system for music classes and special events. Ten percent was set aside for the physical education program.
