Non-league football: Heritage 40, Decatur 0

Loren Standiford threw three touchdown passes as Heritage scored on its first four possession to win on homecoming night at McKenzie Stadium.

The Timberwolves benefited from five fumble recoveries as the Golden Gators from Federal Way had nine total fumbles.

The first fumble came two plays into the game. Heritage recovered and Standiford turned that into points when he completed a 23-yard touchdown pass to Jeremiah Kelly on the first play after the turnover for a 7-0 lead 55 seconds into the game.

Duran caught a 16-yard TD reception on the fourth play of Heritage’s next possession to make it 14-0.

The Timberwolves led 31-0 before Decatur managed its initial first down midway through the second quarter.

Standiford passed for 133 yards, E’Lon Mack caught three passes for 63 yards and one TD, and Jay Allen rushed for 88 yards on 15 carries and one TD for Heritage (2-2).
