Construction work will reduce northbound Interstate 5 to a single lane overnight Friday in Salmon Creek, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Crews will repair the bridge that carries I-5 over Interstate 205 near the northern convergence of the two freeways, according to WSDOT.

Workers will remove concrete, repair rebar in the bridge deck and repave a pothole.

The partial closure is expected to last from 10 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday.

The work won’t directly impact I-205, but crews will be visible from the roadway. Delays are possible on both northbound I-5 and southbound I-205, according to WSDOT.
