DETROIT (AP) — Colorado transfer Chris Jenkins is joining the basketball team at the University of Detroit Mercy.

Titans coach Ray McCallum says Jenkins is a versatile player and a good student of the game. Jenkins redshirted during his freshman year at Colorado.

Jenkins, a forward, is a graduate of the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy, where he averaged 20 points and nine rebounds per game as a senior. He was one of 10 finalists for the Mr. Basketball award in Michigan.
