Police arrested a 14-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man suspected of robbing a gas station early Wednesday morning in east Vancouver, where they reportedly held a clerk and customer at knifepoint.

Two people, described as wearing bandanas, walked into the Arco AM/PM at 116 N.E. 164th Ave. One of them held a knife to the clerk’s neck, and the other held a knife to a customer’s neck, according to Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

The pair weren’t able to get cash and ran from the convenience store. After the robbery was reported at 3:15 a.m., Vancouver officers converged on the area and used a K-9 police dog to search for the suspects. A witness contacted police and said that the suspects were inside a residence in the 15600 block of Southeast First Street, a few blocks from where the robbery occurred, Kapp said.

Police arrested the two suspects, a 14-year-old boy, whose name was not released, and 19-year-old Cedric W. McNeal. McNeal was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery and an outstanding warrant. The 14 year old was taken to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center, also on a first-degree robbery allegation.
